Theatre Licenses

The applicants have to first take a
No objection Certificate from the Commissioner of Police,
Hyderabad, Who is the licensing Authority, for construction
of permanent cinema theatre. For this purpose, the following
documents are to be enclosed.
1 . Sale deed
2 . Urban land selling (ULC) certificate.
3 . Partnership deed.
4 . Site Plan.
5 . SBH Challan for Rs. 200/- Rs towards NOC fee.
After obtaining the NOC,
the applicants have to submit to licensing authority (C.P)
in application in Form A-1 along with detailed/plans and blank
challan for Rs. 3000/- towards PWD inspection fee for the
grant of permission to construct a permanent cinema theatre
within a period of (6) months from the date of receipt of
NOC issued by licensing authority in accordance with Rule
9(A) of APC ® Rules 1970.
As per the Rule (B) 3 (F) the construction of the building
shall be completed within a period of 3 years. The licensing
authority may for valid reasons grant extension of time for
a further period of 2 years of completion of the building.
After completion of the
theater, the applicants have to submit the applications in
Form A – 1 along with the completion plan, electrical
drawings, Form-E (Certificate of licensed Civil Engineers)
and Form-F ( Certificate of licensed Electrical Contractor)
certificates and required challan fee according to seating
capacity i.e., if it is below 500 seating capacity the license
fee would be Rs. 2500/- and if it is exceeds 500 seating it
will be Rs. 5000/- for a period of (5) years, for the issue
of Form-B license. The applicant has also to submit a declaration
to the effect that all arrangements have been made with the
Branch Manager, Film Division to screen INR Films.
After receipt of all reports,
the cinematography license in form-B will be issued for exhibition
of commercial films.
Grant of permission
to conduct premier and benefit shows.
The applicants have to
apply for grant of permission to conduct premier and benefit
shows in any theatre of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to screen
the cinemas duly submitting a N.O.C. from the Management of
the concerned theatre. The show should be beneficial only
for any voluntary service organization or charitable Trust
(but not for thee benefit of the cinema theatre of the license).
