  • An affidavit to the effect that the applicant has not been convicted or arrested in any way involved in any criminal offence.
  • An evidence in justification of the reason for which the license is sought (if the reasons such as self-protection, protection of property, agricultural protection or target-practice are given, the applicant should furnish material in support thereof.
  • Evidence to show the applicant's duration of stay in the city (e.g. attested copies of two of the following documents - ration card, telephone bill, electricity bill, electoral identity card, the letters received at the given address and if the house is a rented one, the rent receipts etc.). If the applicant has stayed at more than one place then the above evidence in respect of each of those places.
  • If the applicant has his own house, flat, plot or open land in the limits of the city then attested Xerox copies of the relevant records of the City or Corporation, or a certificate from the housing society or any other authentic proof of ownership.
  • If the applicant is in service, a letter from the head of the Department or Head of the Office or the Company Executive mentioning therein the post, department and monthly salary and if he is in private employment a similar letter from the private employer.
  • If he/she is in any other business the trade license of the Municipal Corporation, Shop-Act license, Sales Tax number and any other evidence in respect of that business.
  • If he/she has an agricultural land then the extracts of forms 7/12 and 8(a).
  • If the applicant is an income tax payee. The income tax returns of the last three financial years.
  • If a license is required for the security of a Company or a Bank, the documents such as company registration certificate, a letter from the M.D. of the Company or the General Manager of the Bank and if the license is required by designation the name and last 10 years' addresses of the incumbent who is holding that post.
  • Recommendation from two respected persons.
  • A Medical Certificate showing the general state of health especially eyesight, hearing and mental condition.
If the applicant is an Officer/Jawan of any of the Armed Forces following documents are required :-
  • A Recommendation-letter from a competent Army-authority
  • A letter from the same competent authority mentioning the applicant’s length of service and the date of retirement
  • If the applicant plans to settle down in Pune, an evidence in support thereof (evidence of the purchase of the house/plot or if he is living in a rented house a proof thereof for the last five years).
  • If the applicant is allotted a weapon from the Armed Headquarters an attested copy of the Allotment letter.
  • If a weapon is being transferred from another person’s license, a letter of consent of that person.
  • If a weapon is being transferred from the license of a deceased person, the legal succession certificate and affidavit of other heirs, if any, consenting such transfer.
  • Gun licenses:

    1. Fresh Licenses:
 

a. Applicant to apply in the printed form (available in the website)
b. Three passport size photographs of the applicants.
c. Income Tax returns, if they are the assesses.
d. If the applicants happened to be ex-servicemen or defence personnel, a certificate to that effect.
e. Challan for Rs. 100/-.

  2.  Renewals:

 

a. Applications on a plain paper.
b. License book.
c. Challan (Category – wise information given below)
    NP before revolver/pistol: Rs. 50/- per year.
    DBBL/SBBL gun Rs. 20/- per year
    NP bore rifile Rs. 30/- per year.
    ML gun Rs. 5/- per year.

Arms Dealership Licenses:

  1. Fresh licenses:
  1. a. Application.
    b. Three passport size photographs.
    c. Income Tax return form.
    d. Challan for Rs. 100/-.
    e. Rental/sale deed of the house where business is to be carried on.
    f. Details of properties owned by the applicants.

  2. Renewals                                                                                                                           
    a. Application.
    b. Original license.
    c. Challan for Rs. 100/- pe each year.
