Qualification
(For Civil S.I. (Men & Women)/RSI Armed Reserve (Men)

A degree of any
University established by Central and State Act of Institution
recognized by U.G.C. or equivalent thereto.

For SC & ST candidates should pass
Intermediate Examination conducted by the State or equivalent
thereto.

Weightage shall be given to these graduates
who have specialized in Sociology, Social work, Psychology,
Criminology, Law and these possessing a B.C. Certificates
of N.C.C. and those who participated in Scout, N.H.S.
Sports and Home Guards at the time of Interview.
Physical
Standards
Civil S.I. (Men) and ARSI (Men)
HEIGHT Not less than 167.6
cms
CHEST Not less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration
with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
(NOTE:
Provided that in case of candidates belonging to Schedule
Tribes and aboriginal Tribes where the reserve quota could
not be fully utilized for want of sufficient candidates possessing
the requisite physical standards. The physical standards are
as follows:-
HEIGHT Not less than 164
cms
CHEST Not less than 83.80 cms. round the chest on full inspiration
with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
Civil S.I. (Women)
HEIGHT Must not be less
than 152.5 cms.
WEIGHT Must not be less than 45.5 KGs.
Method
of Selection
Civil S.I.s (MEN
& WOMEN)
- The candidate who possessing the
requisite education and physical standards have to appear
1 Star Standard test and they must qualify in 3 out of
5 items as specified in the rules.
- The candidate declared qualified
in P.E.T. will be admitted for written examination consisting
of 2 papers of degree standard each not exceeding 3 hours
duration carrying 100 marks each.
- Both the papers will be of objective
type with selection type of questions/items there may
also be short answer and other type of questions/items.
The question paper will
be in English, Telugu, Urdu languages.

Part - 1: Aptitude for Police Service
Part - 2: Mental ability and Comprehension
b)
Paper - II : Will consist of question/items in
General Studies
General knowledge
Current affairs
General Science
Geography
History
Constitution
National Freedom Movement etc,.
- The selection will be zone-wise with
one candidate being considered only for one zone.
- Based on merit (Zone-wise) in the
written examination candidates will be required to appear
before the State Level Recruitment Board for interview
zone-wise carrying 25 marks in the ratio of 1:2 in each
group and community of that zone.
- Marks obtained in the written examination
(200) and interview (25) would determine their order of
merit for final selection in each group and community
of that zone.
RSIs. AR / APSP
(Men)
- Candidates declared qualified in
Physical Efficiency Test of 1 star standard will be admitted
to the written examination (One Paper) in general knowledge
(Objective Type) of degree standard which carries 100
marks and also the National Physical Efficiency Test of
3 Star standard carrying 100 marks.
- Selection will be zone wise.
- One candidate will be considered
only for one zone.
- Based on Zone-wise combined merit
in the written examination and National Physical Efficiency
test of 3 Star standard, candidate will be required to
appear before the State Level Recruitment Board for an
Interview zone wise carrying 75 marks in the ratio of
1:2 in each group and community.
- Marks obtained in the written examination
(100),
- National Physical Efficiency test
of 3 Star standard (100) marks
- Interview (25) marks total 225 would
determine their order of merit for final selection in
each group and community of that zone.
Training
The directly recruited
cadet SIs., (Civil) and Cadet RSIs., (AR) and APSP have to
undergone the 18 months training programme
