Awarded
to officers / men of the Police department who in their
services have risked their lives in extremist areas
and faced bravely hazards in dealing with rising militancy
in the Naxalite infested and other sensitive areas.
This Pathakam honours their services in fighting against
this serious threat to security of the people of A.P.
There are totally 60 medals which are awarded at the
rate of 30 medals on each occasion.
The recipients of this medal are entitled to a cash
grant and non recurring cash awards as specified in
the rules. Recipients of these awards will be eligible
for a recurring grant of Rs.25 per month for life and
a non recurring cash reward of Rs.2000/-.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Those officers directly recruited as DSP, SI and
PC and other equivalent ranks in the department
are recruited. The candidate should have at least
3-4 years of minimum service and must be an approved
probationer as on 1st Jan of the year to become
eligible for the award of Katina Seva Pathakamu
for the Telugu New Years Day (i.e. Ugadi) and A.P.Formation
Day (1st November)
- The candidate during the period specified above
should have worked in difficult situations and difficult
areas exerting themselves acquitting to the responsibilities
entrusted to them.
- The candidate should have exemplary and clean
record of service with continuous devotion to duty
and sincerity in difficult situations and areas.
- The integrity of the candidate and his non involvement
in any judicial proceedings should be certified.

OBVERSE:
The medal will be circular in shape, made of bronze,
one and three eighth inches in diameter and have embossed
on the obverse Andhra Pradesh State Emblem and
REVERSE:
The medal will be circular in shape,
made of bronze, one and three eighth inches in diameter
and have embossed on the reverse "Amaravathi Stupam"
with Andhra Pradesh Police Service.
RIBBON:
The Ribbon will be half Blue and half
Red.
